A very well loved little doll.

This little handmade chenille doll was at a yard sale with lots of little girl stuff. The girls were there and so happy I loved their little doll. Someday a granddaughter of mine will maybe love her too!

Crosses

I just picked up these two new crosses at my local thrift store then painted one white and viola!! I love crosses for their architectural detail and sometimes just simple beauty.

A new look

okay this is how they will look with glass knobs........(didn't put them all on yet) what do you think? The before and afters are below this post.

Before and almost afters!

Well I have the before and afters of the nightstands but still can't decide on the knobs! Decisions.....decisions. Anyway I do have some glass knobs( old ones from the house) but would like some of the pink glass ones. Anyone know where to get them? The old glass knobs I have are original to the house. My husbands grandfather built this house in 1927! It is a work in progress. Any ideas for the knobs?

Transformation

The little french chic nightstand are coming along so beautifully. I am have trouble cleaning all the gunk off the marble tops but otherwise they are fabulous! I can't wait to post the before and after photos for you to see. Coming soon! My dinning room is functioning as my painting studio/space for now but the lighting is best there and the weather here is too hot in the day and raining in the afternoon so inside job it is......

Changing my mantel to soothing whites......

I am in the process of changing my home from what used to be very dark rustic decor to a more soothing palette of creams and whites with a twist of soft wood tones for what I call "Farmhouse Shabby Chic". I will be posting photos as the changes occur. Right now I am painting two old beautiful french style night stands for the bedroom! Unveiling the before and after photos soon!!
